Our friend Joe went with my husband, Cam, and I to Tennessee this weekend to visit with Cam's parents, just outside of Murfreesboro. We stopped in Nashville late Friday night and went to the Bluebird Cafe. It is a little spot in Nashville where many country music folks get their start. We have heard Marc Beeson and David Vincent Williams play at the Children's Charity of the Bluegrass "afterhours" event with Dillon Dixon with Matt Jenkins. They were all so wonderful that when we saw they were playing at the Bluebird we rushed to grab tickets. Seriously--check out some of Matt's songs on his myspace (especially Heaven)--that boy can sing! Marc and David Vincent played with Keith Stegall and Mike Reid. They are all unbelievably talented and we were so lucky to hear them in such the initimate setting as the Bluebird. On Saturday, we went boating at Tim's Ford with Cam's dad and stepmom.
We had a great time and came home to a giant southern meal. We had "dinner" at noon that would be the size of Thanksgiving dinner anywhere else. It was delicious! We got to play with Cam's nephew, Brady. Words don't describe how cute he is--only a picture will do!
