Valparaiso and Vina Del Mar

We spent one day on the Chilean coast at the towns of Valparaiso and Vina Del Mar (usually just called "Valpo" and "Vina" by the locals).  The coast was amazing and so interesting--Cam said he really wished he could come back and spend a weekend there to just relax.  It was filled with interesting art, restaurants, rocky coasts, and relaxing beaches.

Cam in the Phoenix--the capsule used for the Chilean miner's rescue. It was actually bigger than we expected, but it wasn't large by any means (keep in mind that Cam is 6'3).

The flower clock (and a random family of tourists) welcoming you to Vina. Vina is much more of a South Beach feel than Valpo, but the views are absolutely incredible.

Less than a mile from the rocky cliffs is a beautiful beach in Vina--just amazing.

These are the apartments there--they are built into the side of the mountain rather than as a traditional building. The elevators are also like the cable car rather than like a regular elevator.
