Jersey Chasin'

So clearly Blackberry's pictures aren't great quality, but I can already tell this football season will be full of jersey chasers as we are two rows in front of the basketball team.  And I may or may not be one of those chasers.

See What's Hanging...

...on our walls now! 

We got our kitchen painting in and hung and recently bought a painting for our dining room at the Woodland Art Fair. I LOVE them both.  Cam and I tend to have more traditional furniture with more modern accents (such as our art). 


The kitchen painting is amazing. It is 60" x 48" and is a custom oil of a koi pond by a local artist (and friend).  We adore it! It really finishes our kitchen.

Anyone else see pacman eating a fish in this one? We get the biggest kick seeing other things in art...

Our dining room (the room in which we got engaged) is the only bit of color left downstairs (everything else the same neutral color, Ponytail).  We wanted something fun and vibrant for the room, so when we saw the works by this artist at the Woodland Art Fair, we fell in love.  We ended up purchasing this yellow  48" x 24" piece because we thought it would flow with the red walls and accent the yellow cushions on our dining room chairs.

Thankful Thursday

Thanks google for all these images!

I am thankful for: 

• The BEAUTIFUL weather.  Sunny, warm, beautiful skies, and low humidity--could a girl ask for any more?

•  My bible study and all the girls in it. A group of fellow law students and I all get together on Thursdays and are going through the book, Putting Amazing Back Into Grace.  It has been the best way to help keep my head on straight because the girls really help support each other in this mess we call law school. 

• Home football games.  First home football game is this weekend and we've already planned out the tailgate menu. So excited!

 

• Good food with good company.  Cam's boss and his wife took us out to dinner last night.  It was so generous of them--we truly appreciated both the food and the company!

 

• All the prayers for my family. My uncle's condition hasn't improved, but it has been amazing to see all the people who are praying for him.  Despite having stage four cancer that has spread through his spine, liver, lungs, and brain, he is in good spirits. 

 What are you thankful for?

Going Green(er)

So in all that time I didn't spend blogging, I have gotten some home improvements done.  I painted our bedroom last year a green, but the color ended up being more seafoam green than the khaki/olive color we wanted.  So, I finally picked out a green that I liked (Sherwin Williams Burlap) and I repainted our bathroom and bedroom.

I like the fact our bedroom and bathroom now flow (our bathroom was blue before).  Also, the color is much more soothing and relaxing than the lighter green. So, while our bathroom is a far cry from the master oasis I would love to have, at least is better for now.  Our bathroom is definitely something on our list of things to update eventually...

While the bedroom color isn't a drastic change, it makes us happier, which is all that matters, right?

It's (one of) the most wonderful time of the year--college football and the day our CATS get to destroy Louisville.

No Excuses

I know, I know.  There are no excuses for me being MIA.   So, the next few days will be about playing catch up....

Went to the OAR/Citizen Cope concert

Got good laughs and sweet memories of our nephews

Checked out the Naval battleship and submarine.

Finally got that recipe for 10,000 chocolate chip cookies (sounds, delicious, right?)
